Llantwit Fardre (7) Tredegar (41)
Feb 19th 2011
Celebrating one hundred years of rugby, Llantwit Fardre were given a masterclass of open entertaining rugby by Tredegar whose try scoring prowess is unrivaled in any of the divisions so much so that Tredegar extended their lead at the top of Division 2 East with a five try blitz at luckless Llantwit Fardre.

Tredegar were unlucky not to score in the first minute when Alun Jenkins put Steve Knight away only to see the flanker pulled down denying the visitors an early score.
With backs and forwards combining well Tredegar's support play was out of the top draw and when winger Dominic Pullen got the first of his two touchdowns the writing was on the wall for the men in blue.

Craig Lloyd continually punched holes in the midfield and during a rare attack by the home team, the ever elert Rhys Hallett intercepted and sprinted away scoring a fine captains try that knocked the stuffing out of the opposition.
Prop, Nicky Gould's try finished off an eighty yard move which was engineered with backs and forwards combining.

Whilst Ron Kynes put in another all action performance the accolades go to Tom Brown who put in a man of the match performance and Ray Prosser's grandson looks set for a fine future in the game.
Dominic Pullen's second try earned Tredegar the bonus point whilst Craig Lloyd's efforts were rewarded with a great touchdown as the burly centre shrugged off a posse of tacklers to touch down under the posts.

Outside half Dan Haymond put in another flawless performance kicking seven out of seven shots at goal adding another sixteen points to his season's tally.
Tredegar take a break from the league when they entertain first division Merthyr at the Rec under lights on Friday night kick off 7.15
